About the Event

This on-line training course explores diverse methodologies and best practices for assessing soft skills in academic and professional contexts. Designed for educators, trainers, and instructional designers, the course focuses on practical frameworks and tools to measure competencies such as communication, collaboration, problem solving, and emotional intelligence. Participants will examine case studies, engage in peer discussions, and develop context-appropriate assessment strategies. The course encourages critical reflection on how assessment approaches can support holistic learning outcomes and student development.

This training course has been offered close in time to Online Capacity Building Training 4 on Soft Skills (SS) Assessment Methodologies, provided by IADT. Considering that both topics are related and the two courses have been offered close in time, both Training Teams (UGR and IADT) have been sharing aspects on the design of the course and the activities involved. This way the participants (potentially the same) can experience methodologies that have been at least consensuated.

Course Format

  • Blended delivery: Combination of synchronous (live sessions) and asynchronous (self-paced) components
  •  Synchronous sessions: Interactive workshops, discussions, and Q&A with trainers
  •  Asynchronous components: Readings, recorded lectures, work group, peer feedback, and practical exercises
  • Time commitment: Approx. 15 hours total across 10 days
  • Platform: Online learning environment for asynchronous activities and supporting synchronous activities
(Moodle), Zoom for synchronous communication and sessions
