Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT)

LUT University has served as a forerunner – combining technology and business – ever since it’s inception in 1969. Our international community is comprised of 7 500 students and experts engaged in scientific research and academic education. LUT University has a working community of approximately 1090 staff.

LUT is a community where curious people inspire curious people. The curious dive deep into their passion, and develop their thinking daily. Without curiosity, we cannot change the world. A curious person experiments, fails, and succeeds faster than others. We address issues that matter to the world and that others may consider impossible to solve. Our campuses are located in Lappeenranta and Lahti, but our state of mind can be achieved anywhere.

LUT consists of Schools of Energy Systems, Schools of Engineering Science and School of Business and Management. Clean energy, water and air are life-giving resources for which we seek new solutions with our expertise in technology and business. We help society and businesses in their sustainable renewal. School of Engineering Science acts as an international expert in different engineering areas, including industrial engineering and management. LUT has been active on several projects taking place on both national and international levels. Master’s Degree Programme in Industrial Management is ASIIN e.V.-accredited degree program. The quality label is a certificate of high-quality engineering education, international recognition of the degrees and a guarantee of continuous development of education.
