Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) is a centenarian higher education institution located in Yerevan, Armenia. It was founded in 1922. ASPU aims to organize and implement higher and postgraduate professional education, as well as pre-school, general education, pre-professional, secondary professional, additional, continuing education. The university trains internationally competitive specialists in the labor market with high qualifications in the fields of education and pedagogy, science, culture, and society. The objectives of ASPU are:

1. development of the content and methods of training programs for specialists in the fields of education, pedagogy, social sciences and culture, organization and improvement of the pedagogical process;
2. improvement of teaching content, development and implementation of professions and specializations, textbooks, educational manuals and guidelines, other educational resources;
3. the creation of socio-pedagogical knowledge as a public value and the development and dissemination of structures for its transfer;
4. the maximum possible inclusion of students in different forms and levels of pedagogical training. 

Though it is one of the oldest and most traditional educational institutions in the Republic Though ASPU is one of the oldest and most traditional educational institutions in the Republic of Armenia, today it is regarded to be one of the most advanced universities due to the recent developments, a variety of educational reforms and internationalization activities. The number of the students is 5500. The university implements a three-level education (Bachelor, Master and Doctorate Studies) in 36 Bachelor and 45 Master different specialties, learning outcome-based curricula and academic syllabus, effective teaching technologies and pedagogical methodologies, highly qualified academic staff, modernized equipment and technological devices. As well as, since 2015 ASPU has been implementing online study system via Google classroom platform. Google classroom is a platform, which makes it easy for professors to make and manage student science projects and assignments; it simplifies creating, distributing and grading assignments in a paperless way. The system enables students to assess the teaching staff and make recommendations. The University has 10 faculties and 6 University chairs. It is the only higher educational centre in the Republic of Armenia that trains special pedagogues, speech therapists, art-therapists, ergo therapists, and special psychologists. The Faculty of Special and Inclusive Education provides education in line with the European standards in accordance with the relevant curriculum and programmes, applying innovative methods and technologies. It is the leading Teacher Training Higher Education Centre, which trains competent teachers and educators in various professional domains.
