On 3 May 2025, Ilia State University hosted the Mari Burduli Job Forum, organised with the support of HR Hub. Held on-site at the university’s premises, the event comprised a series of thematic employment forums, interactive workshops, and career-oriented sessions designed for students and recent graduates.
A key feature of the forum was the presentation of the DeSIRe project, which aims to enhance youth employability through improving soft and entrepreneurial skills. Attendees were introduced to the project’s principal objectives and its relevance within the modern job market.
Notably, the DeSIRe project was allocated a dedicated space in the form of an information tent, where forum participants could engage directly with project representatives, receive printed materials, and learn more about upcoming opportunities. The tent served as a dynamic hub for discussion, networking, and exploration of how the project supports youth development.
Students and alumni from across all academic levels and disciplines at Ilia State University actively participated in the forum’s sessions. Many expressed keen interest in the DeSIRe initiative and a strong willingness to engage in the SS Lab activities.
The forum was supported by HR Hub, Georgia’s largest professional network for human resources specialists, and StudentJob.ge, a leading employment portal for students. Their involvement provided valuable practical insights and greatly enriched the overall impact of the event.
