About the Event

On October 25, 2024, Sokhumi State University hosted the National Awareness Day (NAD) of the DeSIRe Project, bringing together representatives from Ilia State University, Tbilisi State University, and Batumi State University. The event aimed to highlight the importance of integrating soft skills into higher education in Armenia and Georgia to enhance employability and career development.


Key speakers, including university rectors and professors, discussed strategies for incorporating soft skills into academic programs through models such as Train-the-Trainer, Co-Creation, Micro-Credential Framework, and Educational Data Mining. The event also facilitated interactive discussions with students, academic staff, and administrators, emphasizing the role of soft skills in the modern labor market.


With 28 attendees (25 women and 3 men), the event fostered collaboration among educational institutions, encouraging knowledge-sharing and best practices. The representatives of all Universities reaffirmed their commitment to implementing soft skills initiatives to support student success and regional development.
